Having recently returned from a brief journey out of town, I understand their desire to make themselves available on the mainland. Logistics of shipping are challenging enough without having to take into consideration the 90% of Americans who reside in landlocked states. You can save time by using third-party logistics companies like FedEx and DHL, but you will still need to use unpleasant shipping and logistics. Travel logistics in America will soon need to change dramatically.
There's a stronger urge than ever to fly, which means that certain flights will require a 50–60 minute walk from the airport entrance. This does not imply that aviation is becoming extinct; rather, it simply means that, in order to maintain consumer satisfaction, airlines must continually come up with innovative ways to cut down on trips. This gives us more time to explore our destinations and return to Earth in time for lunch.
